Easter, 2005 - Today, the image of the very Son of God being flayed beyond recognition, hanged on two splintery wooden planks by his wrists and insteps, and then rising from the dead, was offset by the more pleasant notion of a cute little bunny leaving chocolate eggs.
Christ, who spoke of 'loving one's enemies' and 'turning the other cheek' is expected to be further used as the poster-boy for war, torture, murder, hate and intolerance for the remainder of the year.
The Easter Bunny was unavailable for comment.
